Case Study: finding the best tool for the context

Challenge:

A client required a scientifically-validated 360° feedback tool to replace an outdated ‘self-made’ system which was no longer fit for purpose.

Situation:

A pharmaceutical company’s HR department needed to professionalise their leadership development tools. An old in-house 360° feedback system had been rejected by the mainly scientific community of leaders, as it was felt lacking in statistical validation and scientific foundation.

As a new Con-TACT partner, HR commissioned us to identify a professional 360° feedback tool which suited their needs and requirements.

We created a relevant catalogue, considering elements within our portfolio and other relevant tools in the market. The shortlist and evaluation were presented back to our HR-partner.

Result:

Two of the tools we had evaluated and recommended were adopted for piloting and future use.
Subsequent tests with pilot groups showed high acceptance with the leaders. Their conclusion was that the Con-TACT recommendations were truly relevant and useful for their own development efforts. HR chose the ESCI™ and LSI1&2™ which we already had in use.
